From the plains of Northeast Oklahoma to the beaches of southern Texas, one of the primary missions of Vizion Health LLC is to serve the children and adolescents of today so that they can live richer, fuller lives tomorrow. Vizion is furthering this mission by partnering with Compadres De Peru′, an organization in Peru′ that works hand in hand with local communities to provide short term aid and long-term capability building. The wonderful team at Compadres De Peru′ focuses their assistance on 3 key areas: immediate relief and essential services, education and sustainable development, and infrastructure support and healthcare.

Vizion’s partnership with Compadres De Peru′ is directed to the area of education and sustainable development, by way of a scholarship program. This initiative is dedicated to supporting talented young students who aspire to achieve their post-high school educational dreams and make a positive impact on their Peruvian communities.

The young lady in the video is Mariana, who wants to become a Naturalist Guide on the boats that explore the rich biodiversity of the upper Amazon.  Mariana lives in a small village on the river with about 100 residents and is the first receipt of Vizion Health’s scholarship program! Vizion’s own Mark Schneider and Ann Miller met her during their visit to the Amazon, and were so moved by Mariana, the local village, and the mission of Compadres De Peru′, that they brought the scholarship concept back to their fellow Vizion partners for discussion. Their proposal was unanimously approved!
